Ava's Christmas Concert

On December 14th we received invitations to Ava's very first Christmas concert.

We were told she'd be reciting a poem (and saying/reading more than anyone in her class.)

When we walked in she was blowing kisses to the audience. WOW what a star.

But we already knew that!

We were very proud of her.

Here are a few shots of the performance, her teacher Ms. Kim and check out the handmade reindeer shirt they made with painted on hands and feet!

Christmas Card Photo Shoot - Dec. 2009

My Little Elves In pursuit of the Nesmith Children Christmas Card Photo I made the kids weaR

These Elf Hats! Every year since 2000 I've done Christmas Card PHOTO SHOOTS. They've all made it to my scrapbooks and even to a magazine or two!

They almost always include some sort of Christmas Head Gear from Snowflakes (2001) to Reindeer Ears (2000) to Santas Hats.

(reminder POST all Cards)

We've done glamorous ones by the fireplace holding ornaments (2002) , last year they held little velvet gift boxes (2008). One year they held Sesame Street stockings adorned with Elmo and Big Bird. (courtesy of Nana).

Christmas Card Photo Shoots!!

So I got this bright idea to do a THEMED christmas card every year with the kids.

It almost always involves a Head Piece. I've made it my mission to find all these and continue to add them to my Christmas Album. I'm a few years behind *cough cough*.

Here are a few I took with my phone just to give you an idea. I plan to scan in all the scrapbook page I've done the past 10 years that showcase these PhotoShoots!

2000 - Rein-DEARS

2001 - Snowflakes

2002 - Formal by Fireplace (Poinsettia)

2003 - Elmo and Big Bird

2004 - Wooden Reindeer (in yard)

2005 - Ava's First - wrapped in Sparkly Garland

2006 - All red/gold Bow (tough year) LMAO

2007 - ??????

2008 - Velvet Gift Boxes
